How We Rate Slots

Data first, not opinions

Every slot page on Slot Demo is built from the game’s own technical specification: RTP, volatility, reels and rows, paylines or ways to win, bet range, maximum win, and bonus features. We do not invent star ratings, fake user reviews, or hand-written “verdicts” for individual games — with a catalogue this large that would be dishonest. Where the numbers come from

• RTP, volatility, grid, bet range, features are taken from the provider’s published game specification and in-game paytable.
• Maximum win is used as published by the provider. Where a studio has not disclosed an official max-win figure, we mark the value as an estimate based on the game’s volatility and mechanics — clearly labelled as such on the page.
• Titles and provider names are shown as the studio publishes them.

What we verify

We check that RTP sits within a plausible range, that volatility matches the stated mechanics, and that feature flags reflect how the game actually plays. Specifications can change between releases and jurisdictions; the in-game paytable is always the final source of truth.

How our default ordering works

The default “Popular” order across the catalogue is a transparent, data-based score — it combines provider prominence, recognisable game families, trending mechanics (Megaways, Bonus Buy, cluster pays), demo availability, release recency and max-win ceiling. It is a helpful default, not a claim about real-world play counts.

The limits of demos

Demos use virtual credits and cannot pay real money. They run the same maths model as the real-money version, so they are an honest way to learn a game’s rhythm, features and volatility — but a good demo session is never a sign you are “due” a win. Slots are governed by a random number generator.
